1972 Orson Welles Interview
Starts a tad slow, but he really gets going by part 3 and it's exquisite.

The Cultural Anthropology of Web 2.0
YouTube - The Machine is Us/ing Us (Final Version)
Very impressive meditation on what we are actually creating when we add to the Web; how the users can be thought of as disseminators of information; the giant processing power of millions of human minds to link and coordinate content. Yet, as impressive and impactful as this video makes it all seem, I can't help but think that (at least) 90% of the web is still used for essentially banal recreation (i.e. porn, myspace, lolcats) which doesn't particularly assist civilization in any way except for a chuckle and stiffy (which, after food, may be what people want most anyway (okay that, and to share their vacation photos)).

If You Like Puzzle Games....
And you have some time to waste, this one is pretty clever and fun. Kind of like a mini Legend of Zelda:
(took me about two and a half hours to beat it... though I did get 3 hints online for things I couldn't figure out... everything in the game is do-able but some stuff is pretty damn tricky)

Garfield minus Garfield
Who would have guessed that when you remove Garfield from the Garfield comic strips, the result is an even better comic about schizophrenia, bipolor disorder, and the empty desperation of modern life?

This Year's Flu Shot Missed The Mark
The flu vaccine must be reformulated every year to keep up with the fast-evolving influenza virus, and this year the government made a rare wrong bet on which strains would cause the most disease. The flu season got off to a slow start, but it rocketed in mid-January as some new strains arrived — and the CDC found the vaccine is a good match for only about 40 percent of the virus now spreading in the U.S.
Fucking flu, I just had it last week. Yahoo! News
