First Wind Farm in National Forest Planned

about 50% taller than these

The evergreen trees of the Green Mountain National Forest in southern Vermont could soon be dwarfed by 370-foot-tall wind turbines. A company wants to build up to 30 of the turbines in the forest in what would be the first-ever wind power project on U.S. Forest Service land. The project would produce enough electricity to power 14,000 to 16,000 homes.

From the ear of a deaf tiger

mrt.jpg Now don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of Mr. T. In fact I am a proud owner of "The Original Mr. T in Your Pocket" device. I simply blame it on the 80's and Ronald Regan. No one should have been forced to live in a time where any and every celebrity was encouraged to sing inspirational music about how to live you life.

Go Joe! (and get your freak on)

I'm always constantly amazed that some people enjoy spending their spare time writing fictionalized accounts of their favorite people getting busy. That was until I read the G.I. Joe Erotic Fan Fiction Archive.

Ah sweet sweet Lady Jaye.

A revolutionary party?

Now may not be the best time to publicize this, as the Circle Line in London is not currently running as a result of the terrorist bombings, however the concept of an illicit party on the Circle Line is pretty sweet.

The concept is pretty simple. These guys turn up to the Circle Line of the London Underground with everything you need for a party, and throw a party while the train is between stations. Then when they pull into the station, everyone sits down and acts normal.

And of course as the Circle Line does a large loop around London, the trains never really stop for long, and its easy to hop off at one station, go to the bathroom, and then join up with the party later.

Great idea.

Google Phone Maps

I've been refraining from talking about Google, maps, Earth, or the rest of it all, but I can't stand it anymore, this is just too cool.

Getting Google Maps on your phone is wicked. Even if it means i'm basically certain to go WAY over my data limit in no time what-so-ever.
